Analysis of History Learning Sources in the Study of Prince Diponegoro's Military Strategy in the War of 1825–1830: Relevance to Modern Sishankamrata

Abstract

The Diponegoro War of 1825-1830 was one of the toughest armed resistance ever faced by the Dutch colonialists in the Dutch East Indies. The resilience of Prince Diponegoro's troops in facing the far superior Dutch military power for five years is a testament to the strategic superiority and tactics employed, and it has become a historical record used as a learning resource from the basic education level to higher education. This study aims to analyse learning resources on the Diponegoro War and assess their relevance to Modern Sishankamrata. The research method of Systematic literature review (SLR), aided by technology, is used to examine high-credibility sources of physical and digital book data. This study used MAXQDA and Gephi software to analyse the text. The results of this study confirm that Diponegoro's visionary leadership aligned the strengths of his forces with the opponent's weaknesses, making it a legacy of war strategy that remains relevant today and can be effectively combined with modern Sishankamrata.
