JETL is a peer-reviewed journal that is published by Institute of Managing and Publishing of Scientific Journals, STKIP Singkawang. This journal was first published in March 2016 with  with e-ISSN: 2477-8478 and p-ISSN: 2477-5924. These are some historical developments of JETL.

1. Starting Vol. 1 No. 1 (March 2016), JETL received manuscripts both in Indonesian and English.
2. In order to focus on the substance of accepted paper, starting 2021 JETL publishes 30 articles per year (15 articles per number).
3. For Vol. 5 No. 1 (March 2025) until Vol. 5 No. 2 (September 2025), JETL revised the manuscript template to enrich the metadata of the article in the manuscript.
4. Starting Vol. 6 No. 1 (March 2026), JETL revised the manuscript template again to enrich the metadata of the article in the manuscript.
