Abstract

Dalam perspektif perkembangan karir, setiap fase perkembangan kehidupan manusia akan ada pembuatan keputusan karir, baik keputusan dalam menentukan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, atau menentukan pekerjaan yang akan dipilih. Realitas menunjukkan membuat keputusan karir adalah hal yang sulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai faktor yang menyebabkan pembuatan keputusan karir adalah hal yang sulit. Menurut Osipow dkk diantara faktor yanag turut berpengaruh terhadap kesulitan membuat keputusan karir adalah faktor kepribadian. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir berdasarkan tipologi kepribadian menurut big five factor personality. Responden penelitian adalah remaja di Jakarta, usia 13-23 tahun. Responden dipilih dengan menggunakan convenience sampling yang berjumlah 560 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan CDDQ untuk kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir, BFI untuk personaliti. Berdasarkan model uji Post Hoc, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa faktor kepribadian tidak berkontribusi terhadap kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Hasil lain menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian neuroticism berpengaruh terhadap lack of information atau kurangnya informasi dalam pengambilan keputusan karir dengan nilai sig. > 0.05.
