- In 2016, JBKI began to publish articles and regularly JBKI consistently publishes 6 articles every March and September JBKI.
- In 2018, JBKI accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education as a scientific journal with accreditation ranked 4 (Volume 1 Number 1 of 2016 to Volume 5 Number 2 of 2020).
- In 2019, JBKI was nationally accredited as a scientific journal ranked 3 (Sinta 3), from the publication of Volume 4 Number 2 of 2019 to Volume 9 Number 1 of 2024.
- In 2020, JBKI made a change to the Editorial Team.
- Starting Vol. 6 No. March 1, 2021, there is a change in the appearance of the cover.
- Starting from the issue of 2021 (Vol. 6 No. 1 March 2021) JBKI re-adjusted the writing format /template.
- To improve the quality of management, starting in 2021 JBKI will make changes to the Publication Fee.
- April 2021, maintenance of the author guidelines.
- May 2021, maintenance of the reviewer guidelines.
- In 2022, JBKI will start publishing articles regularly every January, May, and September.
- In 2023, Editorial team of JBKI has been changed.
