Hubungan Intellectual Humility, Self-Compassion dan Psychological Well-Being pada Siswa

Abstract


Intellectual humility, sebagai kemampuan untuk mengakui keterbatasan pengetahuan dan kemampuan diri, telah diakui sebagai faktor penting dalam mengembangkan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan pribadi. Di sisi lain, self-compassion, yaitu kemampuan untuk memberikan dukungan emosional kepada diri sendiri dalam menghadapi kesulitan dan kegagalan, juga telah terbukti memainkan peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis individu. Meskipun konsep-konsep ini telah menjadi fokus penelitian di bidang psikologi, masih terdapat sedikit pemahaman tentang bagaimana ketiga faktor ini saling berhubungan, khususnya dalam konteks siswa sekolah menengah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelajahi dan menganalisis hubungan antara intellectual humility, self-compassion, dan psychological well-being pada siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional. Survey dilakukan terhadap 345 siswa SMA dengan rentang usia 14-18 tahun. Survey dilakukan secara online menggunakan tiga jenis skala, yaitu skala intellectual humility (22 item), skala self-compassion (26 item), dan skala psychological well-being (10 item). Validitas dan reliabilitas keseluruhan item diukur dan dinyatakan valid dan reliabel, dengan rentang reliabilitas antara 0.788 hingga 0.894. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki kategori intellectual humility yang sedang, pada variabel self-compassion, sebagian besar siswa memiliki self-compassion yang sedang, namun terdapat jumlah yang signifikan dari siswa yang memiliki self-compassion rendah, dan yang menarik, seluruh siswa dalam penelitian ini memiliki psychological well-being yang sedang. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara intellectual humility, self-compassion, dan psychological well-being dan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel bebas dapat mempengaruhi perubahan variabel terikat sebesar 33.8%, sementara sisanya 66.2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar penelitian. Implikasi penelitian ini dapat digunakan dalam pengembangan program-program pendidikan dan intervensi psikologis yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan intellectual humility, self-compassion, dan psychological well-being pada siswa SMA.
