Writing Article Guidance for JP-BSI (Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia)
Editor Policies
Writing Article for JP-BSI (Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia) is published twice a year, every March and September, containing papers/articles about the ideas and the research written by experts, educator, scientist, practitioners, and reviewers in the language and literature in study
General requirements:
- The length of the article is between 3000 to 5000 words (including bibliography, notes, and tables).
- Attach a statement that the article has not been published yet in any other publication and in any forms.
- Each article will be given a test of plagiarism.
- The article consists of 9 components:
TITLE: Title Have to Use Capital Initial Letter
The sections in the article does not use chapters (except for the research result and the discussion), but the indicators that the components or sections in the article stated can be seen at the first sentence in the first paragraph.
- The article is delivered using the following components:
Title: Maximum 12 words for article in Bahasa Indonesia or English. The font used is Times New Roman, 20, and bold.
The writer’s name: The writer’s name is written under the title using font Times New Roman, 14, without titles, and cannot be shortened. Under the name of the writer, it is written the areas of expertise, institution name, and the email address of the writer.
Abstract: no more than 250 words, written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia in one paragraph containing: The research objectives, research methodology, data analysis, and research findings. It is typed using font Times New Roman, single space.
Keyword: Maximum 4 words, separated with comma, typed using double space under the abstract. [font Times New Roman, 10, single space, italic]
Introduction: The introduction is written using capital letters [font Times New Roman, 12, bold] containing the background with a problem solving , the urgency and rationalization of activities, bibliography, solution plan, the objective of the activity, and hypothesis development. [font Times New Roman, 12, Normal]
Methods: Research methodology explains about: the approach, scope or object, operational definition in each variable/description of research focus, place, population and sample/informant, main source and tool, technique of data collection, and technique of data analysis. [font Times New Roman, 12, Normal]
Result and Discussion: The findings is presented in full and related with the scope of the research determined before. The findings can be completed with tables, graphs, and/or charts. The tables and pictures are given number and title. The result of data analysis is explained correctly in the article. The discussion part logically explains the findings, associated with the relevant sources. [Times New Roman, 12, Normal]
Conclusion: The conclusion contains the short summary of the findings and discussion. Conclusion is the findings in the research that has the answers for the research questions or the objective of the research. The research findings give suggestions or contributions to the application and/or the study development. [Times New Roman, 12, Normal]
Acknowledgements
Authors could acknowledge institution providing research funding (with grant number) and individuals who provided help during the research.
Conflicts of Interest Statement
Conflicts of interest exist when an author (or the author’s institution), reviewer, editor, editorial board member has financial or personal relationships with other individuals or organizations that could inappropriately influence his or her actions in a way that creates bias.
Author Contributions
All authors have to share an accurate and detailed description of their diverse contributions to the published work. The roles describe each contributor’s specific contribution to the scholarly output based on CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) including 14 roles, that can be used to represent the roles typically played by contributors to research outputs https://credit.niso.org/
References: Reference must follow the style of writing of the American Psychological Association, Sixth Edition (APA 6th). At least 15 references are used. Ensure that all references to the text are listed in the reference section and vice versa, and that the spelling of the author name and year is consistent. Please do not use footnotes or endnotes of any kind.
We require all of you to use reference software such as MENDELEY, ZOTERO, or ENDNOTE for easy quotation. Reference should be the latest and relevant literature available (about 5-10 years ago). The use of literature (more than 10 years ago) may have allowed at least 25% of the total references used in the manuscript. Example format of the 6th APA publication manual:
